As a little girl, one of my favorite holiday traditions was going to the ballet with my grandmother and my mother for a ladies’ day filled with beautiful ballerinas and classical music followed by lunch at the Russian Tea Room. There is something so glamorous about going to a beautiful old theatre dripping in crystal empire chandeliers and the hush that falls over the audience as the conductor signals the strings to begin. I am mesmerized by ballerinas and often dream about a life where I continued to dance and became one myself.
I’m always a little overdressed so I was pleased to have an excuse to dress up where others would be, too! I paired a tweed dress with gilded thread woven throughout with a black fur, black tights, and booties for a fun and festive holiday look. I never feel truly dressed up without a bold red lip, and the big sparkly earrings added the perfect je ne sais quoi.
