Looking for an easy way to wear gingham this spring? I’ve always loved this crisp print. Maybe because it feels like a distant cousin of my everlasting love of stripes? When a print is majorly trending I usually try to incorporate it into my look in dress form so I was *thrilled* to find this gingham maternity dress at ASOS for only $34! As I mentioned in my maternity shopping guide, ASOS is my number one stop for trendy maternity clothes. One of the biggest bummers of maternity shopping is missing out on seasonal trends (I’m still searching for a palm-printed maternity maxi! Let me know if you’ve seen one PLEASE!).
For someone who likes to wear of-the-moment pieces, it can be tough to be relegated to all basics all the time. I’ve started incorporating bright, bold accessories into my outfits to keep things interesting. I paired these tassel earrings (I have them in four colors and want more…) with these bright pink heels (also under $35!) for a look that felt fresh and spring-appropriate. Whether you’re expecting or not, accessories are an easy, inexpensive way to update your look and can totally change up an outfit!
I had so much fun shooting this with my new photographer Ashley showing her around my Queen Village neighborhood. I need to do a post with my favorite local spots since after walking around with her I realized I have one on almost every block near us! If you’re ever in Philly, definitely check out The Hungry Pigeon (pastry chef from Balthazar), Ela and Shot Tower Coffee. More local Philly recommendations to come soon!
I hope you’re enjoying the warm weather and wearing lots of fun dresses! Many, many more dresses will be on the blog in the coming weeks so stay tuned!
