A Colorado Girls Weekend

As I mentioned here, I was super excited to visit a friend in Colorado for a little weekend getaway.  There’s something about the vast blue sky, mountains rising seemingly out of nowhere, and endless sunshine out west that keeps me coming back for more.  I spent most of the weekend plotting how to convince Matthew to move to Boulder.  I’m still entertaining that thought…

If you find yourself in the Mile High City definitely check out Linger for gourmet takes on street food from around the world, Snooze at gorgeous Union Station for brunch, and Work and Class for small plates.

My outfit details: Anthropologie dress (sold out, similar here), All Saints leather jacket, Anthropologie sequin beanie (on sale!), Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots (similar here)

We took a mini road trip to Boulder from Denver to stay overnight at the St. Julien Hote & Spa and it was ahhh-amazing! We ate dinner at Arcana then went back to the room to indulge in gold sheet masks, room service, champagne (none for me sadly!), and movies. The sheet masks we used are actually from the Express Spa at the airport and I highly recommend them!  Other restaurants I highly recommend are Jax Fish House, Oak, Frasca, Pizzeria Locale, The Med, and Centro.

The next morning we enjoyed brunch at Brasserie Ten Ten, one of my absolute favorite spots in Boulder for classic French food and kir royales.  We wandered around the Pearl Street Mall marveling at how much Boulder has changed since we were in college and popped in Patagonia to pick up the *cutest* little down-filled vest for a certain future baby.  I also wanted to scoop up this fleece vest (on sale!) and this vest for myself.

Outfit details: Anthropologie rancher hat (similar here), All Saints leather jacket (same as above), Anthropologie vest (similar here and here), Old Navy maternity jeans, Nordstrom B.P. Trolley booties (I have multiple colors – they are super comfy!)

We drove up the Flatirons to Lost Gulch – an absolutely epic lookout point that I used to venture to regularly to watch the sunset when I lived there.  It was CRAZY windy and wildly beautiful.

Traveling while pregnant was an adventure in itself and I definitely miss packing with my non-maternity clothes!  I’ll be posting soon about my pregnancy travel tips!

I love that great state and can’t wait to go back with our little family next year.  Where are your favorite Boulder and Denver spots?  I’m already planning my next trip!
