I went veil shopping yesterday (yay!) and threw on a casual outfit that is definitely going to become a new go-to look in my winter repertoire. As I mentioned here, shades of camel and caramel are very on-trend this season thanks to some serious retro-inspired vibes on the runway. I picked up this hat at Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago and it has been a great way to evade having to do my hair since loose, natural waves peek out perfectly beneath the brim. I highly recommend it! I love incorporating a little rock and roll edginess into my look but I keep it polished by pairing it with tailored, more ladylike pieces since I’m not really an all out grunge gal. Case in point, pairing distressed J Brand jeans, an All Saints leather jacket, and the couldn’t-be-preppier Tippi J. Crew sweater. As always, my Rag and Bone booties complete the look. Slip on some black and tan on for tonight, and while you’re at it, sip on one, too (recipe below)!

Black and Tan Recipe

Ingredients
One 12 oz bottle of lager
One 12 oz bottle of stout

Directions
{1} Gently pour half the lager beer into a tall beer glass.
{2} Place a large tablespoon, convex side up, an inch or so above the lager beer, with the tip of the spoon pointed slightly downward.
{3} Slowly pour half the stout beer over the tablespoon, so the stout gently pours down the side of the glass in a thick trickle.
{4} Allow to stand a few seconds so 2 distinct layers of beer form.

Bon Weekend!
