About

Natalie Ehrlich of The Everyday Belle

Welcome! Bienvenue! I’m so happy you’re here.

So a little bit about me. I’ve lived in six cities and three countries. Currently, I reside in Philadelphia with my husband (we’re newlyweds and I still find that word very exciting!). My savory palate means I’d rather eat steak tartare than macarons (fou, je sais). My closet can attest to the fact that I believe you can never have too many pairs of black boots or white blouses. I have two rescue dogs with enough psychological baggage to stump Freud. Oh, and a fun final fact: I used to work as a lawyer and now I’m a professional writer and editor.

So why start a blog when there are already millions out there? As a copywriter, editor and brand strategist, I have had the opportunity to work for major fashion companies, including the beloved Anthropologie brand. Working with such established and inspiring brands pushed me toward crafting my own personal brand as a writer and editor. I created The Everyday Belle as a space to share my perspective: a French-inspired take on everyday life.

I have always been a Francophile thanks to my family’s admiration for all things French (especially food!) and after several trips to France and living in Paris one summer, I found myself longing to live my life with the joie de vivre (joy of living) possessed by the French. There is something that resonates so deeply with me about the French raison d’être (reasons for being): that fervent appreciation of love, style, food, wine, and living life in a beautiful way. There’s something so rewarding in finding and appreciating the little beauty in the day-to-day.

My life is by no means perfect and honestly, I’m a little tired of the unattainable side of the blogging world. I created this site as a space where beauty within reach is on display for you to sprinkle into your own life however it makes sense for you. Think of The Everyday Belle as your guide to incorporating French style and sensibility into your own existence. Like the French, I believe beauty can be found in a simple trip to the farmer’s market, a well-crafted cheese plate, a bouquet of dried lavender tied with raw silk, a casual outfit that makes you feel effortlessly comfortable in your own skin. My hope is that you feel inspired to live your most beautiful, authentic life when scrolling through the pages of this French-inspired blog.
